The decision to create Colombian Curves Concierge came from a combination of personal experience, professional responsibility, and what I witnessed happening to foreigners here. I want to start by being transparent. I didn’t come to Colombia for surgery. I moved here with my family after a long and successful career in mental health, having built multiple international group practices across Canada and the USA. I loved living here and I absolutely love what I do, but after years of remote work, I found myself missing the professional connection, teamwork, and fulfillment that come from being actively involved in people’s lives, in person. I knew I wanted to create a business in Colombia that fit my busy lifestyle while still allowing me to do meaningful work.

What I was not expecting was to repeatedly meet foreigners who were confused, misled, or completely unprotected while navigating the medical system here. I saw people trusting clinics because of glossy social media pages, believing influencers who had no or only general medical training, and putting their safety in the hands of individuals who were not licensed plastic surgeons. Some of the most popular Instagram accounts belong to doctors who are not specialists at all, and many foreigners never find out until something goes wrong. I met women who had been harmed, botched, or left without support, and I saw stories on the local news of people who were severely injured or even lost their lives after trusting unsafe providers.

At the same time, I also saw the very best of Colombia’s medical field. Ethical, board-certified surgeons. Highly trained specialists. Full medical teams providing coordinated, comprehensive evaluations. The issue was never the quality of the good surgeons. The issue was that foreigners had no reliable way to tell the difference between a licensed specialist and someone pretending to be one. And the system here does not always protect patients. Corruption exists, accountability is inconsistent, and many foreigners only learn the truth when the damage has already been done.

With my background as a psychotherapist and social work, I couldn’t ignore any of this. My entire career has been built on ethics, transparency, and protecting people. Watching so many foreigners walk into dangerous situations without knowing the risks felt impossible to ignore. What began as me looking for a fulfilling business opportunity and my own procedures became something much clearer: a responsibility to protect people who simply didn’t know what they were walking into.

That is how Colombian Curves Concierge was born. Not to sell surgery and not to promote any clinic, but to guide, protect, and advocate for foreigners who want safe, ethical medical care in Colombia. My role is to help you understand exactly what is safe and what is not, to connect you only with licensed specialists, to navigate the system with you, and to ensure that you never face the risks so many others unknowingly face.

I do not work for surgeons. I do not take commissions. I work for you. CCC exists so you never have to learn the truth about unsafe clinics, unlicensed doctors, or the flaws in this system after it is too late. My mission is simple: to make surgery in Colombia safe, informed, and transparent for every foreigner who chooses it.
